In 2020 humanity lived yet another major pandemic in world history. The only promising solution which would mitigate the growing impact of the epidemic was that of social distancing. Joseph Xerri chose to explore this theme by portraying a human as an astronaut in his own world.
Amidst the situation, Xerri looked at it in a positive light in this surreal art. History has always shown that after every winter storm, spring is there to follow. Humanity could still choose to reap the benefits of excess time inside their homes. It could have been a time to blossom, explore one's potential and spend more time with their loved ones.
This unfortunate episode certainly turned people's lives upside down, but human's hopefulness and positivity during this time was proof that there is always a way to get the best out of tough times. Eventually, humanity looked back and felt grateful that this seemingly 'dark' time helped their race evolve once again.
