‘Greed’ is probably Joseph’s favourite, and probably the one with the biggest and most profound meanings behind it. The element of greed has been present in human beings since the beginning of humanity itself. Blinding many human beings along the way, greed lives and dominates our planet.
The concept of greed has survived generations upon generations, nestling itself with alarming ease into collectivity. Greed is an endless journey into alluring traps, a zigzag through human nature, thriving on money and power, weakening souls in its path of slime. Greed takes the happy endings out of every journey. It can be controlled, but it’s a dangerous enemy which has destroyed entire communities by dangling money as an easy carrot.
'Greed' has been created using a mix of stock photographs, and a lot of time has gone into the colour grading of this piece in order to render it seamlessly. More surrealism art from Joseph Xerri – this is where he truly excels.
